Radiohead frontman, Thom Yorke, has been announced as a headlining act for 'The Big Chill Festival' this year. In his only festival appearance this summer, Thom will be without his Radiohead band mates and perform as a solo artist.
It has been four years since Thom released his solo debut, The Eraser. The album was highly praised and was shortlisted for the 2006 Mercury Music Prize, but lost out to the Klaxon’s ‘Myths of the Near Future’.
Radiohead’s last release, In Rainbows, topped the charts on both sides of the Atlantic. They had originally stated that they would no longer release conventional albums, but in an interview with NME this year, the band have said that they are working on a full length release.
