Bollywood Beckons Akon

Like Snoop Dogg before him, Akon is to record a track for a major Bollywood film. Snoop was asked to record a song for the 2008 box office hit ‘Singh is Kinng’, starring Indian heartthrob Akshay Kumar and leading lady Katrina Kaif.
Akon, who has according to contactmusic.com, offered his services for free, will be providing a track from the upcoming sci-fi action ‘RA. One’ starring Bollywood megastar Shahrukh Khan. Akon is planning to sing some of his vocals in Hindi as well as feature in the film.
The Senegalese superstar is also keen to do more work in India saying that it ‘is his next focus area’. He added that they ‘have the same kind of entertainment, the only difference is of tradition and language’.
