Dutch film-maker Tom Six, who wrote and directed shocking film; ‘The Human Centipede', has revealed that he expected to divide audiences- You don‘t say!
He told the BBC; "On Facebook people made a fan page for myself and the film... Some people say I have to be shot and some people want to sterilise me - and others say I'm the most genius film-maker there is."
The film basically revolves around a crazed surgeon (played by Dieter Laser) who kidnaps tourists and conducts horrific experiments on them.
He then surgically joins two American women and a Japanese man to form a "human centipede".
Tom Six went on to say that he didn't "care" about the death threats and wouldn't be taking out any extra security. "I knew when I made this film, it would provoke a lot of reactions because it's pretty strange and not everybody can handle that... I take it all with a blink of the eye, because why would you shoot a film-maker? I don't really care about it... Of course, there are a lot of lunatics out there but I don't see myself going to a premiere with bodyguards around me."
The Human Centipede is released in UK cinemas on August 20. But we have tickets to give away for the premiere and Q&A session with Tom Six himself, for this Friday the 13th August: Enter, if you think you can handle it!
