Bernie was the lucky girl who won a pair of VIP tickets to V Festival in Chelmsford a couple of weeks ago. Here's her review of the weekend...

A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to come across a competition offering one lucky winner the chance to grab a pair of VIP tickets to V Festival in Chelmsford. Being an avid fan of music festivals (but often sceptical of competitions) I decided to chance my arm and enter the comp via Miss Win It. Turns out I won, score!

The tickets were sent out to me quicker than you can say Jack Robinson and by Friday morning I was on my way to set up camp – in the VIP section, of course. Having looked at the forecast earlier in the week I was pleasantly surprised when we were met with more than palatable weather. Seeing the sun has been a bit like seeing a half-naked Leprechaun in a tutu this summer, infrequent to say the least.

On Saturday we spent the day making the most of the VIP treatment on offer by making recurrent trips to the on-site VIP wine lounge and beauty salon. After a barn-stomping time in the VIP area we then headed out to catch some of the music on offer and were lucky enough to see the mighty Example, Plan B and the Arctic Monkey’s headline set.

Of all the days, however, Sunday was easily the best! Greeted by good weather again we headed out into the arena early on and saw Chiddy Bang, The Wanted, The Saturday’s and Hurts – Theo is so unbelievably sexy, isn’t he?

The best part of the weekend came in the evening when we got the chance to watch both Eminem and Rihanna perform, it was my first time seeing both artists and I couldn’t have been more excited. What made it even better was the fact that they came out together for a rendition of Love the Way You Lie.
